Senator Howie Morales today applauded the successful action by seniors and their advocates across the state to force Governor Susana Martinez’s administration to rescind its recent order canceling a key contract for senior care across the state.

The contract provides meals-on-wheels, congregate meals at senior centers, respite care, transportation, homemaker services, and transit to medical appointments.  The existing contract now will be in force until the end of the fiscal year in June.  Morales said he will push to extend it for a longer term.
